Day 01: Arrival in Sri Lanka – Welcome to Negombo

Day 02: Sigiriya via Dambulla – Cultural Majesty & Rock Fortress Adventure

After a delightful breakfast at your hotel, depart by 6:00 AM for the iconic Sigiriya, one of Sri Lanka’s most renowned UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The journey takes you through the cultural heart of the island, including a stop at Dambulla Cave Temple, a centuries-old treasure of Buddhist art and architecture.

Upon reaching Sigiriya, prepare for an unforgettable climb up the Sigiriya Rock Fortress – often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World. This ancient citadel was built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century AD to protect himself from his brother Moggallana. Rising nearly 200 meters above the jungle, the fortress showcases incredible engineering, beautiful frescoes, water gardens, and panoramic views.

Later in the afternoon, opt for an elephant ride in Habarana or a tranquil village experience with a bullock cart ride, river safari, and paddy field tour, immersing yourself in authentic Sri Lankan rural life.

Nestled amidst lush hills and rich cultural heritage, Kandy is a vibrant city filled with history, devotion, and traditional charm.

On your way to Kandy, explore the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, a peaceful haven of rare flora spread across 147 acres. Originally built by the Sinhala kings and formally established during British rule, the gardens are a blend of beauty and botanical significance.

Later, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, a major pilgrimage site believed to house the relic of the Buddha’s tooth. Stroll along the Kandy Lake, visit the local market, or enjoy a cultural dance performance in the evening.
